A VRAB Appeal is a distinct stage with its own rules. Do not assume it simply repeats the review hearing. Read the decision and current Board instructions, and seek advice about the grounds available and the deadline.
Read the Review decision
Identify the findings, reasons and any disagreement that may be relevant to an appeal.
Understand the appeal grounds
Ask a representative to explain which issues can be raised at appeal and what evidence or legal argument is required.
Prepare a complete record
Keep the Review decision, hearing materials, evidence, submissions and correspondence together.
Act within the applicable time limit
Confirm the deadline directly from the decision and official VRAB instructions. If unsure, obtain legal advice immediately.
